Overview
Pace IQ is a horse trotting performance app available on iOS/watchOS and Android/Wear OS. On all platforms, some data is stored in the cloud and anonymized diagnostics are sent to Firebase to improve the app. Platform-specific data collection is described below.
Data We Collect
All Platforms
Account Data If you sign in, your email address or linked account identifier is stored via Firebase Authentication.
Session Data Workout sessions (pace, distance, duration, and performance metrics) are stored in your account on Firebase Firestore.
Usage Analytics Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage data: screens visited, features used, device model, and OS version. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Crash Reports Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports including device state and stack traces. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs.
iOS & watchOS
Health & Fitness Data (HealthKit)
The app reads and writes the following data to Apple Health on your device:
- Workout sessions (type, duration, start/end time)
- Distance, pace, and speed
- Active energy burned
- Heart rate (if available)
HealthKit data remains within your personal Apple ecosystem and is never sent to our servers. It may sync to your other Apple devices if you have Health syncing enabled in iCloud — governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Android & Wear OS
Location Data GPS location is collected during active sessions to calculate pace, distance, and route. This data is associated with your account and stored in Firebase.
Health & Fitness Data With your permission, the app reads from and writes to Health Connect and Google Fit. This includes workout sessions and fitness metrics.
Payment Data Subscription and purchase processing is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not store payment details on our servers.
Device Communication Data is exchanged between your phone and Wear OS watch via Google Wearable Services for real-time session sync.
How We Use Your Data
- Delivering and improving core app functionality
- Syncing sessions and settings across your devices

- Understanding aggregate feature usage to guide development
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
